The worm turns on cat diagnosis - Boston Herald The worm turns on cat diagnosis - Boston Herald Posted: 13 Oct 2019 12:00 AM PDT About a week ago, my husband and I found a worm or something that looked like a worm on our 8-year-old cat. It was about a quarter of an inch long and disgusting looking. We had no idea how our cat might have gotten a worm since she is a strictly indoor cat. We sent a photograph to our vet and were urged to bring the cat in for a check-up and to bring a fecal sample in for testing, which we did. They found nothing wrong with our cat and the fecal exam came up negative. What could it have been and should we de-worm the cat even though we were told she had no worms? The vet said to not worry about it but had no other clear suggestions. We have seen nothing since that one occurrence.
